Downtown Boston law firm is seeking a self-starter to perform a variety of financial duties in the accounting department. Assist in preparing, reviewing and posting general ledger transactions, balancing inter-company accounts, and in other duties related to the monthly closing of the general ledger. Assist with monthly financial statement consolidation, financial reporting, and yearly financial statement audit. Act as backup for daily balancing of the Elite system. Will also assist in tasks related to quarterly partner distributions, manage the firm’s abandoned property filings, answer accounting help line questions, and cross-train other department personnel as needed. Must have a 4-year degree in accounting/finance with at least 3 years of experience. Ability to work with all levels of an organization and within a team environment is required. Strong Need Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills. Experience with Elite and FRx software a plus. Experience within a multi-currency environment strongly preferred.
