Gelco Information Network is a leading provider of comprehensive outsourced services for travel
expense management and trade promotion management solutions for consumer goods manufacturers.
Gelco has an immediate opening for a Director of Sales for the Eastern Region.
This position is responsible for planning, managing and directing Gelco Direct Sales
activities in the delivery of revenue targets for the Eastern Region.
-Responsible for account business management functions which may include customer invoicing,
accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales forecasting, and performance goals
-Provide strategic direction, plans and tactics for the sales team to achieve and exceed
established performance goals and communicate plans and objectives with the sales team
-Lead and guide the sales team, ensuring a strong commitment to results and delivery of
exceptional customer service; recruiting high caliber individuals, delivering effective
training and performance feedback, and establishing metrics for performance and development.
-Responsible for establishing strategic relationships with key decision makers, which will
include CFOs, CEOs and COOs and other's who influence assessment initiatives.
-Continue to develop and support a sales driven culture, sales processes, automation and
tools to maximize top line revenue generation.
-Direct the day-to-day administrative operations of the sales team, which includes hiring,
forecasts, training scheduling, sales strategy, tracking results and measuring performance.
Improve sales performance through analyzing daily, weekly and monthly sales data.
-Collaborate with Marketing and Business teams in the development of marketing and lead
generation strategies and other policies and processes that will ensure profitable growth.
-Ensure sales team has up to date information on Gelco Expense Management solutions and
programs as well as relevant competitive and marketing data.
-Understand and apply sales management techniques required to meet or exceed business
-Create and maintain a leadership presence throughout the organization in order to effectively
collaborate and influence to achieve results.
Must have previous executive-level sales management experience.
Minimum of seven to ten years of overall business/sales experience and at least five years
of overseeing a virtual sales team.
Outstanding leadership presence along with displayed ability to motivate and set the
strategic and tactical direction for a sales team.
This individual must have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales objectives
with Direct Sales teams.
Experience in managing and building a sales organization leveraging sophisticated selling
techniques and a variety of sales tools/technologies is a must.
Experience developing formal sales and business plans; expertise in forecasting.
Strong analytical and results orientation.
Should have metrics-results orientation; strong interpersonal, analytical and negotiating
Demonstrated ability to thrive in environments characterized by rapid growth and
cross-functional interdependencies is required.
Experience in or familiarity with out-sourcing business services a plus.
Requires a Bachelors degree.
