The Associate Marketing Manager reports to a Senior Marketing Manager on the Chromax Brand
Nutrition 21 is a growing Westchester, NY-based public company leading the way in the

supplements with years of pharmaceutical quality clinical research conducted at such noted
universities as Harvard and Yale and at the National Institutes of Health.

POSITION GOALS are to assist the Company by:
-Achieving significant brand awareness with the goals of “building” a new category in the
supplement industry for Chromium Science
-Building repeat purchase and brand loyalty
-Educating both the medical community (particularly in mental health) and consumers on the
importance of chromium to good “metabolic” health
-Participating in driving brand sales and communicating the science around Chromax
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Assist in the execution/coordination of marketing plans, promotions, advertising strategies
and various programs and tactical activities to support brand launch, distribution and sales
-Work with our ad agency and outside suppliers to develop variety of promotional initiatives
-Plan/execute pre-and post marketing activities supporting trade show success
-Develop and analyze sales reports from internal sources and syndicated data (SPINS, Nielsen,
IRI) to identify key issues, trends and opportunities
-Analyze and track budgets, forecasts and P&Ls
-Serve as coordinator/liaison with distribution partner and/or work with distributor selling
into health and natural foods stores as well as food, drug and mass; work with them to develop
various marketing and promotional programs supporting sales and distribution
-Work closely with Marketing Services, Science, Manufacturing, PR/communications, and other
internal staff to support coordination of efforts
Candidates should possess a minimum of 2-5 years of marketing experience within the
nutritional supplement industry either with a supplement company or with an ad agency where
they have worked on a supplement company’s business.
Experience working with distributors selling into health food stores/food,drug,mass, prior
sales experience, participation in the launch of a new supplement product, and products backed
by science or claims would be a strong plus.
Candidates need to be highly motivated, self-starters, with superior analytical,
interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. They should be well versed in the use of
Microsoft Office applications.
