Job Description:
Citeline, Inc. provides intelligence solutions to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other life
sciences companies. Citeline seeks to enhance the competitive position of its clients by
providing actionable intelligence regarding competitors’ activities and evolving medical
markets. Citeline’s most recent introduction, TrialTroveTM, is a proprietary database of
information about ongoing clinical trials in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
TrialTrove offers information about the design of ongoing trials, their rate of progress,
targeted patient populations, as well as analysis of the market implications of such
competitive R&D activity. 


Pharmaceutical Industry Analyst – Special Projects

The Special Projects Analyst will report to Citeline's Director of Marketing and Special
Projects and at times may work directly with, or under the direction of, Citeline's Sr.
Analysts and other management. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely
completion and delivery of selected consulting projects for Citeline pharmaceutical company
clients. These projects involve the analysis of ongoing clinical trials information. The
candidate will single-handedly manage these projects with minimal supervision. The candidate
will also be required to assist with other Citeline editorial duties at the discretion of
management and/or as needs arise:

• Take guidance from Special Projects Director or designated Citeline employee on methodology
to be employed and format of deliverables
• Review medical literature, SEC filings and other online and offline information sources to
develop supporting information for each project
• Conduct primary research by directly contacting clinical investigators and other industry
participants
• Consult with Citeline senior analysts to incorporate therapeutic area-specific insights and
to establish methodologies for analytical enhancements to the information
• Prepare project deliverables in client-ready form
• Deliver project results in written form and be able to support all assertions during
possible oral presentation of findings
• Assist with the TrialTrove editorial effort as needed

Skills:

• Understanding of the pharmaceutical drug development process and ability to assess the
future impact of a given clinical trial’s design and timing on a given pharmaceutical market
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
• Proven interpersonal skills; client interaction experience 
• Motivated self-starter with a strong results orientation
• Competency in both written and spoken English language
• Ability to work in fast-paced, unstructured environment, typical of entrepreneurial
organizations

Experience and Education:

• 1-2 years work experience at a pharmaceutical industry strategy consulting, market research
firm, or pharmaceutical company is required
• Track record of personally completing and delivering analytical work product
• Familiarity with drug development and associated pharmaceutical markets 
• Experience with market forecasting based on analysis of pharmaceutical company drug
pipelines
• MD, PhD, or other advanced medical/scientific degree is ideal, but not required
