A two-three year postdoctoral research position is available immediately. The candidate should
have a recent Ph.D. in the biological sciences and a good background in molecular biology and
genetics and the ability to work independently.
Our research is focused on identifying and studying the gene/s mutated in a hereditary
myopathy associated with Paget disease of bone and/or frontotemporal dementia. We are using
linkage analysis, physical mapping, classical methods of gene and protein analysis, gene
expression array technology, cell biology functional and biochemical studies, and animal
studies. Experience with these techniques will be an asset.
