Job Description:
• Prepare, manage, and optimize the timeline of governmental approvals and sequencing of
events from initial site plan submittal to obtaining building permits and the certificate of
• Ensure proper coordination and review of all boundary surveys, plat reviews, soil boring and
environmental, engineering, and other due diligence
• Coordinate all necessary parties with the site research, plan preparation, and
submission/acquisition of site plan approval
• Work with senior management to determine operational needs for all new facilities
• Negotiate contracts with all contractors and necessary parties
• Review all plans to provide a cost-effective project that meets City Furniture’s goals
• Lead the approval process with the Development Review Committee “DRC”, Community Appearance
Board “CAB”, Planning and Zoning “P & Z”, and commission hearings
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of site plan application through obtaining final
site plan approval
• Coordinate all parties and factors needed with respect to the submission of plans and
documents for issuance of building permits
• Obtain all miscellaneous permits as may be required for the project in a timely manner
• Oversee new facility construction process to assure on time, on budget performance
• Manage changes to maximize efficiency and minimize cost
• Obtain a final certificate of occupancy for the project
• Represent City Furniture at all conferences and meetings with governmental regulatory bodies

Qualifications Required:
• 5+ years of project development management experience
• Expert in the permitting process
• Detail oriented
• Analytical
• Organized
• Excellent communication skills
• Minimum education level- Bachelor’s degree

• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
• Retail development experience preferred
