Job Description:
TIAA-CREF (Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association-College Retirement Equities Fund) is a

to meet a variety of financial goals. These include mutual funds; IRAs and Keogh Plans;
after-tax personal annuities; life insurance; personal and institutional trust services;
advisor services; and state tuition financing plans. 

Responsibilities: 

Establish the online strategy for the investment management function through strong
partnership with the Investment Management business unit.
Conduct best practice analyses of online investment systems, including interfaces with trading
systems, reporting systems, and B2B interfaces.
Create knowledge base throughout the Company of available online investment information.
Work with IM and IT to develop centralized data warehouse and dataflow that serve related
online content.
Develop scalable structures and processes to facilitate addition of new funds, expanded
reporting histories, and enhanced functionality based on emerging analyses.
Guide Investment Services in the development of a consolidated proprietary investment intranet
portal.
Work with Compliance and e-Governance to maintain the highest standards of accuracy, and to
ensure compliance with TIAA-CREF rules and procedures, as well as all relevant regulatory
regimes.
Requirements: 

Strong familiarity with wide range of investment vehicles across the equity, fixed-income,
real estate, and derivative segments, as well as familiarity with major quotation and trading
systems.
Must be able to think strategically about customer needs, web offerings and data analysis.
Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Exceptionally high energy level, positive “can-do” attitude, and the ability to interact
constructively with highly-demanding financial professionals.
Demonstrated quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and technical skills
Should have knowledge of Web site design and development and their impact on the customer
experience.
Bachelors degree in a related field, and an MBA with course work in Finance, Economics,
Statistics, Computer Science and/or Operations Research.
3-5 years professional experience in an operational, business, and/or technical development
role.
 NASD License: Series 7 - General Securities Registered Representative (or to be acquired
within 4 months of employment.)
