Job Description:
THUNDER FACTORY (www.thunderfactory.com), one of the world’s leading integrated marketing firms

Soho), is seeking a hands-on, high powered Account Director or Vice President in its San Mateo
or Los Angeles headquarters.  Title is dependent on applicant’s level and relevance of
experience.  

 

This individual will be charged with developing high impact public relations strategies for
our consumer clients, and managing and executing clients’ public relations initiatives.

 

At a minimum, applicants must have the experience listed below.  Please do not apply if you do
not meet these minimum requirements.

·         6 years of experience as a public relations professional, of which at least 3 years
were with an agency

·         At least 3 years of experience primarily dedicated to consumer public relations
and/or consumer marcom.  Experience executing initiatives for at least 3 recognized consumer
brands.

·         Deep media relations strategy and operations experience.  Specifically, applicant
must have reference-able  experience managing relations with at least  3 different categories
of media audiences concurrently for one client

·         High level of creativity, demonstrated by at least 2 specific examples of innovative
programs conceived and managed by applicant

 

 

Responsibilities include:

·         Project management of public relations initiatives, including setting and managing
timelines, delivering high quality work products with little supervision, and managing project
budgets and scope

·         Serve as an internal public relations “expert” by advising team members on
approaches and deliverables, and sharing lessons learned

·         Develop highly creative and innovative public relations/marcom tactics

·         Promote client confidence and satisfaction through effective communication,
organization, and demonstration of consumer public relations expertise


·         Exhibit strong communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas
to clients, colleagues and others 

·         Anticipate and troubleshoot clients’ problems as they arise; seek input whenever
appropriate
