PRESIDENT POSITION AT WEST CENTRAL TECHNICAL COLLEGE
The Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education is seeking a qualified applicant to
fill the president position at West Central Technical College located in Waco, Georgia.
The president is responsible for leadership and management in human resource development,
strategic and operational planning, fiscal planning and control, physical resources,
instructional programs, institutional marketing/advancement, economic and workforce
QUALIFICATIONS: A masterís degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or
university (an earned doctorate is desirable) and five years of senior administrative
experience in post secondary education or its equivalent with at least three years of
full-time, professional level post secondary teaching, student services, or equivalent
experience within the past seven years; Demonstrated knowledge and successful experience in
fiscal and organizational management, strategic planning, legal processes related to
educational management, legislative processes, community and economic development, and
responding to the needs of both traditional and non-traditional students. Candidate must
possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Those candidates who have experience working with local boards and demonstrated fund-raising
experience will be given special consideration.
The applicant chosen for this position must reside in or be willing to relocate to one of the
following counties in the service delivery area: Carroll, Coweta, Douglas, or Haralson.
Salary is established by the Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult
