The candidate will be responsible for providing technical help in seed production and
processing. Candidate should hold, at minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in agriculture or plant
biology or have equivalent experience working in agriculture. The following agriculture
experience is preferred:
• Rice field preparation and planting. 
• Water, soil, fertilizer, pest and disease management of rice fields. 
• Rice culture and rice grain harvesting. 
• Knowledge of managing biotic and abiotic stresses including weather 
conditions for effective and low cost rice seed and grain production. 
• Establishing rice culture practices and disseminating them to rice seed 
and grain growers. 
• Manage large-scale production of a transgenic crop with appropriate 
machinery while maintaining identity preservation. 
• Experience in post-harvest seed and grain processing including 
transport, drying, cleaning and storage. 
• Capable of implementing rice storage conditions where the rice grain 
physiology is monitored to insure that the recombinant proteins are 
stably maintained. 
• Able to manage grain production, storage and milling 
• Able to execute according to a disciplined project management process 
incorporating ownership, timelines and accountability. 
• Able to interact effectively with people who may have differing 
opinions. 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Travel is required, sometimes including extended stays.
