Job Description:
BlackRock, one of the largest publicly traded investment management firms in the United States
with $341.8 billion of assets under management as of December 31, 2004 is seeking a Service
Center Training Associate to join our Boston based Service Center.

The BlackRock Service Center is responsible for providing the highest quality customer service
to BlackRock’s shareholders, prospective shareholders, and financial professionals. Members of
the Service Center team develop new and maintain existing relationships with clients through
verbal and written communications, cooperation with other departments, and timely resolution
of issues. The Training Associate’s role within the Service Center is to develop and provide
all new hire training, product training and quality training for the staff of the Service
Center, and to compile and disseminate pertinent information and informational updates to the
Service Center staff. 

Responsibilities: 

•Direct/deliver training to new and existing employees of the BlackRock Service Center
•Plan course design, definition and curriculum and develop support documentation
•Responsible for training employees on BlackRock’s investment products. Course delivery
typically includes a variety of formats such as classroom training and hands on training
•Ensure training program(s) meets company and customer objectives
•Maintain communication with internal and external clients to ensure effectiveness of
training
•Coordinate the staffing and scheduling of all training engagements
•Administer and maintain all Skill Level training classes
•Coordinating and auditing of training programs, methods and goals
•Oversee the Series 6/63 licensing training curriculum
•Coordinate with our transfer agency on systems training, enhancements and new products that
would impact our service center
•Work with Service Center staff on a daily basis to answer questions and provide technical
support


Skill / Experience Requirements:

•Minimum 2 years of previous customer service, call center, or related experience
•Minimum 1 to 2 years of previous call center training or teaching experience
•1+ year of previous supervisory experience is preferred
•1+ year of instructional design experience
•Skilled in Microsoft Office package which includes Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
•Knowledge of PFPC T/A systems (Image, CRM, FSR, Alchemy) a strong plus
•College degree or equivalent work experience required
•Series 6 and 63 licenses preferred
