Job Description:
Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games) is a global developer, publisher and distributor of

massively multi-player online (MMO) games category, and also holds leading positions in the

including Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo and World of Warcraft from Blizzard; Crash Bandicoot,

Vivendi Universal Games is looking for an experienced Market Research Manager with extensive
experience designing and implementing qualitative and quantitative research studies, some with
high degree of complexity. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in the field of research
preferably in Gaming or consumer products.  The position requires excellent analytical and
communication skills as it requires analysis, reporting and presentation of the research
findings.  Consumer products/gaming experience is highly desireable.  

Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

- Design discussion guide and moderate focus groups and product tests at in-house research
- Oversee recruiting needs for focus groups
- Write reports of research results
- Supervise Research Analysts on various projects
- Design study methodologies and solicit proposals from research suppliers
- Design survey questionnaires
- Supervise outside research suppliers and Research Analysts on various projects 
- Analyze data and write reports



- BS degree in a related field plus minimum 7 years of primary research experience 

- Experience with a consumer products company, advertising agency or research supplier
- Strong familiarity with Win XP, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and also
be internet savvy 
- Familiarity with SPSS software is not required, but desired.
- Strong planning skills, orientation to detail, ability to multi-task/coordinate multiple
projects and people simultaneously  
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills and excellent research analysis and report
writing skills
- Ability to learn new software/ technologies 
- Experience moderating focus groups strongly desired
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to learning 
- Knowledge of or an enjoyment of video games a real plus
