Colliers International, one of the top three real estate service providers worldwide, is a
partnership of independently owned real estate services firms.  Our USA Headquarters is
located in Boston, MA, and we are currently seeking an IT Administrator to support a broad
range of systems and technologies.


Position Description


As a member of a small IT team, the IT Administrator will focus primarily on mail systems,
Plumtree Portal Server, LDAP (Novell eDirectory), Windows and Linux operating environments,
security, networks, load balancing, scripting, and routing. 


The IT Administrator will have a set of primary responsibilities and secondary
responsibilities.  The secondary responsibilities will be shared among IT staff members.


Primary responsibilities for the IT Administrator position include:

Assuring that all mail systems are fully operational at all times.  Mail system platforms may
include Exchange/Outlook, Domino/Notes, Sendmail
Plumtree Portal Server and Verity Ultraseek – level 1 support (handled internally with no
vendor escalation), maintenance, administration, and upgrades
Novell eDirectory and DirXML - administration, maintenance/upgrades, level 1 support, daily
Intranet Applications - administration, maintenance/upgrades, level 1 support
Security - design, maintenance
Production Infrastructure/Operations – firewalls, load balancing, routing,
switches/networking, server hardware, server OS, backup design and operation, antivirus, DNS
Active Directory – design and administration
Office:  desktop, helpdesk, printers, fax, phones, office applications, network, firewalls,
antivirus, antispam, workstation OS, server hardware, server software, backup design,
Blackberry, peripherals
Infrastructure/Operations:  equipment requisition
Develop and implement scripts for automatic repetitive or routine tasks.
Develop written documentation including user instructions, project plans, procedures,
presentations, and other documents as necessary

Secondary responsibilities include:

Miscellaneous application software support
Interwoven Teamsite and Opendeploy – level 2 support
Provide support to end users and coworkers with the investigation and                         
       resolution of new requests, technical issues, and/or problems related to various
enterprise and office systems
Broadcast Email:  administration, maintenance/upgrades
Web site configuration and support
Additional responsibilities related to various systems and technologies as the need arises

Education:  Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree preferred
