TransForm Pharmaceuticals, Inc., is currently looking for a highly motivated Assistant
Scientist who has demonstrated the ability to think creatively and work well in a team-based
structure. The successful candidate will participate in teams that employ a variety of
techniques to discover and study physical form issues, including polymorphism, salt selection,
co-crystallization, etc. An emphasis will be placed on understanding properties and chemistry
of solid-state materials relevant to pharmaceutical dosage forms. The successful candidate
will function as an individual contributor and member of cross-functional project teams. This
is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic pre-IPO company and play a key role in the
research and development of new and improved drugs.
•Design and execute studies to assess the effects of physical form, including polymorphism, on
properties and chemistry (e.g. stability) of solid-state materials relevant to pharmaceutical
•Utilize high-throughout technology to discover and characterize polymorphs, salts, solvates,
co-crystals and amorphous materials to support drug candidate selection for internal and
external partner projects, as well as patent and regulatory filings;
•Present analytical results to internal and external customers, including partner companies
and project teams, and prepare technical/analytical reports.
•B.S. or M.S. in chemistry, materials engineering, chemical engineering or related
•Previous academic or industry lab experience is required;
•1-2 years industry experience is desirable but is not a requirement;
•Must be innovative, self-motivated, team player with strong communication and organizational
skills who thrives in a multi-disciplinary environment.
