Job Description:
OVATION PHARMACEUTICALS, INC. is a Deerfield, Illinois-based, fully integrated pharmaceutical
company that acquires, markets, develops, and manufactures branded prescription
pharmaceuticals. Ovation has proven commercial execution and one of the most robust late stage
CNS pipeline in the industry. This combination results in strong, consistent company growth and
in the ability to provide valuable treatment options that satisfy unmet medical needs in the
CNS and Hospital channels. 


 

OVERVIEW:  Ovation Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is currently expanding the CNS and Hospital Sales
Organization to sell currently marketed products and prepare for a future product launch in
the Boston area.  SRs will be solely responsible for growing market share and increasing sales
volume of Ovation CNS and Hospital products within a defined territory consisting of 100-150
targeted physicians and key accounts (hospitals, MRDD facilities, etc.) through effective
territory management and precise execution.  


 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Achieve or exceed market share and sales volume goals.
Analyze sales reports and develop business plan to increase market share.
Develop and implement strategies to drive sales in key accounts.
Appropriately and effectively utilize available resources to drive sales with key customers.
Develop expert knowledge of disease state, products and competitive landscape.
Utilize monthly budget to maximize profitability and return on investment.
Accountability and adherence to corporate, FDA, and PDMA guidelines.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelorís Degree required (preferably in business or life science).
Minimum of 3+ years pharmaceutical sales experience.  (Neuroscience and hospital experience is
preferable.)
Strong leader with proven selling record and outstanding communication skills.
Demonstrated consistent sales success including documentation of job and/or academic
performance (must have finished in top 25% in 2 of 3 years).
High energy level and strong work ethic.
Strong planning and interpersonal skills; demonstrated decision-making ability.
Requires a high level of initiative and independence.
Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.
Valid drivers license in good standing.
