Plasmon is a leader in professional data storage solutions, providing the industry’s strongest
line of archival storage technologies, including UDO (Ultra Density Optical) drives and media,
optical libraries, and storage management software.
The regional sales manager is charged with developing and executing a comprehensive plan to
develop and close new business jointly with channel partners in an assigned geographic
territory. S/he must identify new business opportunities with targeted end users, and develop
relationships with VARs and System Integrators in the territory to drive sales, maximize
revenue and maintain high levels of customer and partner satisfaction.
Candidates must be highly polished, motivated and experienced self-starters who:
·Consistently meet or exceed quota sales targets, and excel in a highly competitive market.
·Demonstrate a strategic solution sales approach with a focus on building relationships with
top tier channel partners, end user prospects and existing clients.
·Can identify, recruit and grow relationships with key resellers and systems integrators that
fit the Plasmon profile.
·Are hunters, with a proven track record of developing new business in a remote territory role
without close supervision.
·Are able to work effectively with the Denver-based inside sales team, colleagues and Plasmon
executives to maximize productivity and results.
·Have excellent general knowledge of the data storage market, applications and competitive
offerings. Archival, compliance and/or optical experience is a plus.
·Are able to prepare sales presentations and effectively deliver them to senior level decision
makers in a way that generates definitive action.
·Possess excellent oral/written communication, networking, prioritization and negotiation
Education and Experience
·BS or BA in related field
·3-5 yrs of outside sales (direct or indirect) experience to end users, VARs and systems
integrators. Must be able to demonstrate a current working knowledge of the VAR community for
the given territory. The candidate needs to have a history of top performance in prior jobs.
·Availability to travel in territory at least 60% of the time.
·Experience selling enterprise storage products is a plus.
