ASNE - (Authorized Services of New England, LLC) – Generac Power Systems is currently seeking a
Sales Engineer to grow sales in power generation products by developing competitive solutions
and strong working relationships with consulting engineers, electrical contractors and
strategic end users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze current customer requirements and current competitive activity. Define a prospecting
plan to develop sales strategies and resulting growth within territory.
Maintain customer satisfaction, control expenses with budget
Promote sales by providing consulting value; i.e. technical power solution assistance, to
assigned, established and prospective consulting engineers, electrical contractors and end
Pursue new business via telephone calls, personal visits and networking.
Control expenses within budget, expedite resolutions of customers complaints.
Develop a working knowledge of the products and services (i.e. Generac Products) and work
Minimum Three years experience in sales of generators and switchgear, UPS units and/or
Experience interpreting specifications, developing competitive and strategic proposals and
creating submittal packages. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business
periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government percentages as well
as load calculations of voltage, amperage and phase.
Strong knowledge of sales process and cycle of electrical systems, in bid-spec and negotiated
Fundamental AC and DC power technical knowledge of electrical systems related to electric
generators including voltage, current, phase, paralleling, load sequencing, metering and
Knowledge of mechanical systems related to engine generator systems and basic technical
knowledge of power distribution system up to 600 volt minimum.
Ability to direct and work projects with inside project managers.
Competent Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills
Excellent communication skills. The ability to effectively prepare and present information to
Customers and Internal Managers.
BSEE or Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and/or Marketing
