Job Description:
An immediate opening is available for a database architect / design engineer in support of our
corporate R&D efforts.  Participate as a senior member of the R&D team focusing on design and
development of database and data warehouse solutions.  Lead the architectural design,
participate in coding and unit testing, support QA testing, user acceptance testing and
systems integration testing. Participate in business requirements gathering & analysis,
functional design, and translating requirements into functional specifications.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:    5+ years experience developing J2EE database applications in large
production and development environments.


EDUCATION:   BS degree in computer science or related field required.


REQUIREMENTS:     This position requires a mix of functional analysis as well as technical
skills.  The successful candidate will possess the following:


·          5+ years experience developing J2EE applications in large production and
development environments.


·          Strong commercial experience with Oracle or other SQL database technology in a
development capacity.  


·          Minimum 2 years hands-on OLAP / Transaction Processing experience coupled with a
minimum of 4 years of commercial database design (logical, physical, conceptual).


·          Solid design skills and strong data modeling experience.


·          Hands-on experience with  ETL Tools (Extract, Transform, Load) 


·          Strong experience in performance tuning database systems


·          Experience with Analytics, CRM and Financial packages


Ideal candidates will have played an active role in at least one CRM solution project.
Candidate should be organized, creative, flexible, and have the ability to handle multiple
tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines. Ability to demonstrate strong communication, 
problem solving, and teamwork skills preferred.  Ability to provide cross-training and
knowledge transfer to other team members, especially in regards to knowledge gained on the
job.  Must be able to write appropriate detailed documentation.
