The Vice President of Services will develop the Services business capabilities to drive product
success with increased market share and commensurate margin gain. This position will report
directly to the SVP of Products & Services. He/she will provide the foundation for improved
strategic partnerships and long term account base by leveraging current product sales
capabilities into multiple opportunities in pharmaceutical industry. As a result of the firmís
line of business, He/she will be responsible to work with Sales, and Marketing to bring high
quality innovative services to market.
q A minimum of 15 years experience in the delivery and implementation of technology
solutions, services and products. Ideally, the individual will have at least 10+ years in
management positions of increasing scope and responsibility.
q Manage customer service and technical support groups as well as systems engineering.
q Create engagement opportunities. Manage the development and utilization of
services/consulting resources by geographic accounts and business impact.
q Build a team of customer focused delivery and implementation professionals.
q Develop and implement customer service that optimizes productivity of product and
service development efforts throughout the organization. Excellent interpersonal and strong
relationship building skills are essential.
q Develop and implement processes for allocation of resources to support overall Services
q Develop, staff and manage Sales Engineering, Customer Services and Technical Support.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND FOCUS:
The Vice President of Services will be report to the SVP of Products & Services and be
responsible for the following:
q Provide visionary goals from strategic perspective and tactical methods for
accomplishments with measurement criteria. This will include, but not be limited to selling,
delivery, marketing, methods tools, training, legal (contacts) customer education, program
management, measurement, opportunity development, organizational development, staffing
q Develop relationship programs with the companyís outsourced partners.
q Work closely with the sales team to ensure consistency of delivery within client
accounts. Define and document complex business processes.
q Direct the strategy and initiatives for the Services organization.
q Leverage technology and service solutions for business.
q Solid experience in high growth, entrepreneurial environments, especially experience in
service focused organizations.
q Various special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Requires 10+ years experience in high technology industry (warehouse management/ERP or SCM) or
technology consulting practice focused on generating significant business opportunities and
managing complex client relationships. Domain expertise in the pharmaceutical industry is
also a prerequisite. Strong project management and technical aptitude is also a requirement.
