Job Description:
Purpose: This role is responsible for creating and driving the International Demand Planning
process as it relates to line planning and capacity planning. Additionally, this person will
be charged with establishing the process for integrating this quantitative data with
qualitative inputs as a vital voice in the Global planning process. 

Core Accountabilities:

Process Improvement

X Coordinate integration of International planning information with US demand planning in
support of Global supply planning needs

X Create buy-in with International Sales and Marketing counterparts through an empirical
approach and quantified analytics on volume expectations

X Facilitate integrated reporting and analytics with US information to create a consistent
Global view of the business

X Establish process for International and Subsidiary product forecasting as inputs for the
Global line planning process.

Process Management

X Facilitate issue resolution with regards to International production, development, and

X Provide direction in schedule planning sessions and Line Reviews

X Coordinate timeline placement of Intentional production need sin order to maximize capacity
and breadth of product category presentation.

Tactical and Execution Improvements

X Identify duplicate or unnecessary tasks and processes in order to streamline workflow

X Facilitate coordination and dissemination of planning inputs to Internal and external

Identify and implement systemic improvements in International Planning and procurement tools.


X Minimum Work Experience: 5-7 years in a supply chain related environment, such as
forecasting, planning and/or manufacturing.

X Project Management: Must be able manage multiple tasks with changing and evolving
priorities with tight timelines & ambiguous information. Ability to learn and adapt quickly
and effectively to changing business needs. Uses exception-based approach to managing the
diverse and sometimes competing priorities that characterize multi-seasonal Line planning.

X Communication/Language: Proven written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to
interact effectively across functions and cultures. Non-English language skills desired
(Spanish, Mandarin).

X Management/Leadership): Effective manager able to motivate and lead team.

X Technical: Proven presentation skills; effective use of PowerPoint, Excel, and Access as
well as experience with corporate Demand Planning and data mining tools.

X Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding and application of footwear or related
manufacturing planning and capacity management/ sourcing process. Proven experience in global
demand and supply consolidation practices and processes is required
