Fenway Community Health is a comprehensive community health center, providing a wide continuum
of health care services. We are New England's leading primary care health center for the
lesbian and gay community, and in addition we provide health care to residents of Boston's
Fenway neighborhood, with a special emphasis on the area's elderly and student population.
We define "primary health care" as encompassing ongoing and preventive medical services,
mental health counseling, addiction services, holistic and complementary therapies and
community health education and outreach.
Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician performs all tasks
related to the preparation of prescription medication and maintenance of the drug inventory.
Typical duties include preparing prescriptions for dispensing, logging prescription
medications out of the pharmacy, assisting with maintaining sample medication storage and
ordering, receiving and monitoring medication inventory levels.
Additional duties include answering the telephone and greeting patients, receiving new
prescriptions from patients, collecting and inputting patient data and receiving patient
High school diploma or equivalent; Massachusetts certification as a Pharmacy Technician
At least one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Customer services skills and computer skills are essential
