Job Description:
We are the North American marketing arm of a prominent European supplier of industrial imaging
products. Our specialty is high-end industrial cameras for use in machine vision, medical, and
military applications. Our U.S. office (located north of Boston) is small but growing rapidly.

We are looking for a unique individual with the right combination of sales experience and
technical background to wear several hats and help expand our business. The right person will
have gained some experience in sales and made the commitment to a career in sales. The ideal
candidate will have experience in one of the following: military targeting, medical imaging,
or industrial machine vision

This is a junior level technical sales role that has the potential to expand over time and we
consider this as an investment in the right individual. In this position you will assist the
Vice President of Sales & Marketing to execute a variety of sales and marketing activities to
support key customers, develop product & application expertise, drive sales and gain market
share in North America. 

To strengthen our growth in North America we have an immediate opening for: 

“Technical Sales Associate, USA”
Responsibilities:
• Lead follow-up and self-directed prospecting, qualifying, and closing opportunities while
exceeding sales targets and developing customer relationships 
• Development of sales funnel
• Assisting Sales Director in closing key accounts
• Customer account management & support
• Development of technical expertise to drive sales opportunities
• Assistant to Vice President of Sales & Marketing
• Other business tasks as required 
• International travel up to 15%
• Domestic travel up to 25% 

Professional Profile of Ideal Candidate:
• Must have minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience, with 2-3 years preferred 
• Must have technical background via education or experience
• Experience in a technology driven manufacturing company, medical equipment manufacturer, or
defense contractor
• A bachelor’s degree (preferably with concentration in business or engineering)
• Sales experience combined with engineering experience in machine vision, medical imaging or
defense imaging a big plus
• Long term relationship selling or account management experience a plus
• Education in physics or photonics a plus
• Completed military service a plus
• Recent college graduates and other combinations of sales + technical experience will be
considered

business
• Ability to learn, understand, and explain technical concepts
• Strong willingness to be coached and learn our way of doing business
• Must be a highly effective communicator in both written and verbal communications
• Should be comfortable cold calling or presenting technical information to executives at
large companies
• Must be well organized, responsible, and trustworthy
• Must be a fast learner who can juggle several projects simultaneously
• Must be a results oriented team player with a high motivation to succeed 
• Ability to diagnose complex technical problems and communicate solutions clearly over the
telephone, via email and in person 
• Pleasant personality, good phone voice and “can do” attitude
• Entrepreneurial and more comfortable at smaller firms, not big companies
