Account Executives/Senior Account Executives
If you already have 2-4 years of public relations experience, an account executive or senior
account executive position at SHIFT Communications will allow you to sharpen and broaden your
developing all forms of PR collateral including press releases, backgrounders, case studies
and contributed articles;
executing proactive editorial and analyst outreach programs;
planning and organizing press/analyst tours and trade shows; and,
securing speaking engagements and contributed article opportunities.
This entry-level position is a great opportunity for newcomers to PR to be exposed to and
learn about all facets of public relations. Account Coordinators will hone tactical PR skills
and build a solid base of knowledge about the technology industry and PR account service. The
Account Coordinator provides general support to senior account team members.
developing relationships with editors at trade and vertical industry publications;
researching, maintaining and updating press and media lists;
gathering information for and drafting press releases and other forms of PR collateral;
providing logistical support for press tours and trade shows;
coordinating press release distribution; and
coordinating editorial product reviews.
All positions require a Bachelors degree in public relations, communications, journalism,
business or a related field. You must have excellent organizational, communications (written
and verbal) and time management skills and proficiency with basic computer applications
including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, etc.
Account Coordinator candidates must have 1-2 years of professional experience. Account
Executives and Sr. Account Executives should have 2-4 years of relevant experience.
