The Position-Surgical Recovery Coordinator (SRC)
The SRC has an exciting, unique, and pivotal role in the world of health care, offering the
qualified individual a challenging work life with a primary focus on enhancing and extending
lives. The goal of the SRC is to respond to tissue recovery cases during scheduled “on-call”
periods, providing all aspects of tissue recovery, including surgical dissection of recovered
tissues. The SRC may be required to assemble required supplies and equipment for clinical
recoveries, perform other clinical support related responsibilities during times when
“on-call” without the possibility of pending events. This is a full-time position requiring
flexibility for its varying hours.
Surgical Recovery Coordinators are part of the frontline staff. They
•Provide for the procurement of tissue in accordance with all NEOB Standard Operating
•Work collaboratively with the Operations Center to coordinate the logistics supporting the
•Communicate directly with the Operations Center at all critical points during the recovery,
provide for and submit required documentation for all clinical activity and follow-up
1. Collection of accurate and pertinent donor information,
2. Completion of all appropriate donation documentation forms.
•Surgical Technician with minimum 1 year Operating Room experience.
•Bachelor's degree preferred with experience in medical field. (NEOB will provide training in
tissue recovery techniques if the candidate is qualified and experienced in surgical and
