Summary Description: Under minimal supervision, performs the duties of a controls/automation
engineer, in the electrical/electronic areas. Provides work direction and guidance to the
Companyís Technical Staffs. Reports to Director of Engineering.
∑ Assumes support responsibility for the Boiler Plant's Bailey INFINI-90 System and
∑ As directed, carries out project engineering functions in the electrical/electronic
areas, from conception through implementation.
∑ Reviews current equipment/system conditions, making recommendations for improvements.
Initiates and implements modifications to existing equipment and systems, including, where
applicable, equipment selection, PLC programming, MMI configuration/revision, drawing
preparation, cabinet layout
∑ When required assists shift personnel in the troubleshooting/repair of existing

Can be called on to work with Process Engineering to better understand the capabilities of the
existing equipment, and suggest improvements in such areas as safety, quality, and capacity.
B.S.E.E. or A.S.E.E. (with ability to obtain B.S.E.E. within a yr.)
1-3yrs of industry related experience
PLC programming experience, preferably Allen-Bradley
Ability to select, and configure stand alone and computer based MMIís (Panelmate, TCP,
Knowledge of control panel fabrication
Familiar with variable speed drive application, configuration, installation, startup, and
Personal Computer literate. Familiar with Microsoft Office Products. Fundamental knowledge of
