ASCAP is a membership association of over 200,000 U.S. composers, songwriters and publishers
of every kind of music and hundreds of thousands worldwide. ASCAP is the only U.S. performing
rights organization created and controlled by composers, songwriters and music publishers,
with a Board of Directors elected by and from the membership. 

ASCAP protects the rights of its members by licensing and distributing royalties for the
non-dramatic public performances of their copyrighted works. ASCAP's licensees encompass all
who want to perform copyrighted music publicly. ASCAP makes giving and obtaining permission to
perform music simple for both creators and users of music. 

Position: Area Licensing Manager - New England 

Job Description: 

The Area Licensing Manager (ALM) will act as liaison between music users and copyright owners.
The ALM will call on restaurants, bars, hotels and other businesses that play music in order to
sell performing rights licenses 

Job Responsibilities: 


The sale of performing rights licenses to new clients. 
Collections on past due licensing accounts. 
Compensation Structure: 

Moderate salary base with a generous monthly commission that can greatly enhance annual
compensation total. 
Commission may include: 19-27% of team revenue. 
Commission is based upon: meeting and/or exceeding monthly prospecting goals and meeting
and/or exceeding monthly revenue goals. 
Compensation also includes a $700.00/monthly car allowance in addition to base salary. 
Full-time, employees are eligible for a generous benefit package including, 25 days of paid
time off, 401k, pension, medical, dental and vision coverage. 
Requirements/Experience: 

Highly motivated individual. 
Proven successful sales track record with ability to close deals. 
Avid music lover. 
Inside sales - cold calls. 
Outside sales - in person (intangible exp. preferred). 
Extensive travel over a large territory. 
Extensive knowledge of the New England territory 
Excellent organizational skills - work from home office. 
Ability to interact with a variety of clientele. 
Other Information:
