Purpose of Position:
Reviews credentialing documentation, enters provider data in database, conducts credentialing
verifications, and makes decisions regarding the workflow of credentialing files.
Enters and updates provider application data in credentialing database, adhering to input
Reviews application data to ensure completeness and accordance with credentialing standards.
Reviews provider screens to determine provider status.
Identifies problems or issues, and makes necessary corrections.
Conducts verification of credentialing elements (i.e. DEA, Board Certification, and License)
through the use of system resources, and documents the status in the credentialing databases.
Contacts providers to verify accuracy of information, requests data, and follows-up as
High School Diploma
At least 1 year previous office experience, including data entry, typing, and basic computer
Strong communication, organization and attention to detail skills
Customer service skills
Proficient keyboard skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Word
Understanding of professional telephone etiquette
Service oriented, good sense of humor, and ability to work under pressure a must
Able to work with minimal supervision and works well in both individual and group environment
