Cardiac Rhythm Management – Regional HealthCare Economics Manager

Primary Objective
Provide economic education, analysis and services to key Medtronic hospital and physician
customers regarding cost, reimbursement and business operations related to CRM implantable


Collaborate with field management to strategically apply Healthcare Economic services for
specific regional customers. Actively support sales team with training, education and
resources to help manage customer needs regarding reimbursement. Develop proactive solutions
for hospitals and physicians that will ensure effective and efficient delivery of EP Services.
Conducts physician practice and hospital analysis regarding billing, coding and operational
management. Develop and submit reports outlining the findings/recommendations to the customer.
Assist in the development of strategic and tactical plans to support Medtronic in an increasing
“economically challenged” market place.

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree. 5 + years experience in related healthcare business. Proven operational
management performance within a healthcare (provider) system. Excellent understanding of
reimbursement and provider operations systems. Demonstrated application of account management
and customer service skills. Experience in cardiovascular services with emphasis on EP
services. A proven capacity for strategic thinking, planning and product development as it
relates to an economically driven market place. Excellent time management and organizational
skills. Superior written and verbal communications skills and the ability to develop them in
others. Possess a high level of energy and collaborative management style. Intellectual
inquisitiveness with a desire to create practical/innovative solutions. An understanding and
appreciation for sales force goals, objectives and obstacles. Strong work ethic, able to work
independently yet facilitates collaboration when indicated. Able to take direction. Willing to
travel – up to 70%. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must
