TECHNICAL SUPPORT COORDINATOR
Primary responsibility will be to provide technology support and second-level support for IT
Support Specialists with the ultimate goal of serving the needs of the field globally and the
Home Office of Bright Horizons Family Solutions. The Coordinator will provide 2nd / 3rd level
support to helpdesk (75% of time) and 1st level support to Infrastructure/Network Team (25% of
time). Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: logging, documenting and
monitoring all system and application support calls via internal Help Desk procedures,
resolving all application and technical calls as appropriate for knowledge base, assisting
with desktop, laptop, server and infrastructure configuration, maintenance and repair,
assisting with purchases, invoicing, and vendor relationships, approving repaired/configured
computers before they are returned to the field. Individual will also be involved in technical
project planning and must understand and be ready to perform necessary duties of Jr. Network
Administrator as an emergency backup to assist in maintaining business continuity. Required to
assist with e-mail administration and with testing production releases as requested.
Preferably two years experience working with computer systems and support. Individual should
demonstrate knowledge of all systems and applications as assigned and apply basic knowledge of
data processing. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as superior customer
service skills are required. Experience with Windows platform hardware and software, Outlook
and Microsoft Office required. Good listening skills are required in order to understand the
problem being presented. Should have the ability to resolve problems over the phone and the
ability to assess the severity of the problem and use discretion in obtaining services as
needed. Experience with Windows platform hardware and software, Outlook and Microsoft Office
required. Will need to develop extensive knowledge of Childcare Software Management System
with assistance of Helpdesk Supervisor and Manager of Global Technical Support. Bright
