IDC's Server Research Group is recognized as the industry standard for understanding the
server market and forecasting trends. IDC is looking for an analyst to play a key role in
defining and forecasting directions in the server market and in interacting with strategic
planning and business unit executives driving On-Demand and other emerging computing trends in
the IT industry. 

Responsibilities will include an active role in writing market analysis, quantitative data
capture and analysis as well as providing support in consulting engagements. The individual
will be responsible for increasing IDC's server research product exposure and coverage around
the world and actively participate in delivering, promoting, marketing, and selling the
overall suite of IDC server solutions products. Client contact will include interaction with
market analysts, strategic planners and marketing managers within the U.S. and
internationally. 

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree along with 2-3 years of professional experience
in a position that required them to demonstrate complex problem solving skills and creativity.
The individual should have strong writing and quantitative skills as well as exceptional
interpersonal and communication skills. We are seeking entrepreneurial self-starters with an
interest in business development who have the ability to manage relationships with marketing
and sales execs in vendor organizations.
