CATIA Automotive Interior (Plastic) Designer / Engineer
Participate in a dynamic team environment to provide technical design solutions for plastic
automotive interior components. Only creative and innovative people with a strong commitment

Position located in Portland, OR
Creating and modifying solid models in a CAE environment (CATIAv4.) using models, sketches, or
verbal instructions, and performing comprehensive surface and solid model development.
Designing for best practices in injection molding, ease of manufacture, ease of service, and
operator useage using Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) evaluations, Process Failure
Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), input from manufacturing, service, and ergonomic studies.
Performing preliminary and advanced development of assembly layouts, detail drawings, and
design studies, including datums, dimensions and tolerances using good GD&T practices.
Technical degree highly desired or equivalent experience will be considered.
Candidates must have recent experience in plastics automotive interior design (instrument
panels and/or storage cabinets), 5+ years of heavy truck or automotive design experience is
Catia v.4 experience is required, skills in other applications such as Catia v.5 are helpful.
Expertise in plastic injection molded components and class-A surfaces is preferred.
