Audio Visual Specialist 


FMP Media Solutions is currently seeking a talented hard working Audio Visual Specialist to
compliment our existing team of media professionals. The successful candidate will have
experience setting-up, troubleshooting and maintaining video projectors, tape players,
monitors, audio systems, video camera’s, DVD players, VCRs, microphones, mixers, switchers,
and other multimedia equipment used at business meetings and corporate events.

Under general supervision, provides technical and audiovisual production support services for
business meetings and corporate events. 
Responsible for maintaining and operating audio visual equipment used in the production and
distribution of audio visual, multimedia and video programs. 
Works closely with project managers and operational leaders to ensure project and customer
Provides information about AV equipment so that presenters can plan their AV needs
Works as the hands-on project lead in the setup and operation of A/V equipment for business
meetings and corporate event projects. Plans, organizes and carries out the A/V equipment end
of projects.
Assists in the monitoring of workflow, resource commitments, and supply status. Schedules
vendor and labor resources as well as manages freelance on-site support staff.
Over 50% of the position is on the road to or at the events. Most events are local. 
Travel outside the Phila area up to 10 days / month.
For all meetings and events throughout continental USA, will assist in loading equipment truck
and will be principle driver of equipment truck.
When not on the road, will work in the co warehouse located close to our corporate offices.
Installs & runs AV equipment like projection & sound systems. 
Uses computers and the software that runs sound, light, and projection systems. 
Sets up AV equipment, including projection, sound, lighting, and recording equipment. This
involves working at heights from aerial trucks or ladders and some heavy lifting. 
Troubleshoots problems and minor repair of equipment like projectors, tape players, monitors,
audio systems, video camera’s, DVD players, VCRs, microphones, audio mixers, video switchers
and other multimedia equipment. 
Is on hand during presentations and events to act as a projectionist. Will also control sound
and lights. When needed, could also be utilized as a cameraman. 
Keeps up with improvements in technology and makes recommendations for upgrades. 
Oversees outside contractors when they are needed to make repairs. 
Teaches others to use and care for equipment.



2+ years of experience working with minimal supervision in the role as Audiovisual Specialist
(performing the above description) for business meetings and corporate events.
Must have 2+ years projection, sound, lighting, and recording equipment experience.
Should have experience setting up and possess indepth knowledge of most the following
            LCD Projectors from 1K to 10K Lumens

Projection Screens from Tripod to 10 1/2 X 14 Truss Screens

Audio Mixers up to 32 Ch Mackie Onyx

PA Speakers - Self Powered Mackies

Sabine Equalizers

Cameras - Beta D600, Canon XL1-S, Canon GL-1

Lighting: Source Four Licos, Par Cans, Arri, Dimming Boards DMX&

Microplex control

Crank Up Stands / Truss

            Wireless Microphones: Shure


Knowledge and experience operating cameras a plus. 
Must be highly self-motivated and possesses an entrepreneurial spirit. 
Must be proficient in the use of Windows and MS Office.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of terminology of the computer and the multimedia industries.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Professional presentation. 
Associate’s degree preferred. 
Any Certification & licensing a plus (i.e. International Communications Industries Association
Certified Technology Specialist).
Understands and uses electronics. 
Uses graphic & presentation software.
Possesses knowledge of circuitry, acoustics and wiring.
Applies abstract theories to practical problems.
Has attention to detail.
Has creativity and imagination.
Good record keeper. 
Experienced with and has no problem lifting, carrying, and climbing.
Can recognize slight differences in color and sound.
Understands technical drawings.
Uses hand tools and power equipment.
Works well with customers and colleagues.
Must have valid drivers license.
Engineering repair skills would be a plus but not mandatory.

budgeted for this position.
