Monitor Executive Development

Monitor Executive Development advises clients on executive learning and development
initiatives that support the creation and execution of corporate strategy.  We help clients
learn how to effectively integrate building executive capability with focusing and running the
business.  MED primarily addresses client initiatives that develop leadership bench strength,
embed capabilities necessary to realize the articulated strategy, and transform cultures to
impact values, beliefs and behaviors.  MED is a unit of Monitor Group, a global strategy
consulting firm with twenty-six offices worldwide. 

 

The Instructional Designer will be responsible for the following:

 

Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and project manager to develop live
interactive workshops on marketing strategy;
Develop multi-topic case study arc spanning different processes that are part of an
overarching marketing strategy;
Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to write learning cases for marketing modules and with
project manager to collaboratively design original workshop exercises;
Develop and adapt guidelines for subsequently translating live workshops into online learning
experiences
 

The successful candidate will have/be: 

 

MA in Instructional Design (or significant graduate coursework in Instructional Design) and at
least 5 years prior work experience;
Demonstrated experience in marketing training and development strongly preferred;
Knowledge of life sciences/health care an advantage;
Must show comfort (i.e., experience and interest) with both creative live workshops and
innovative online learning;
Excellent writing skills.  Work samples of interactive workshop designs may be requested;
Proven organizational skills and attention to detail;
    Strong client contact, relationship-building, communication and interpersonal skills.
