We are looking for a Technical Leader who will be responsible for leading a team of developers,
analysts and testers at both an administrative and delivery level. The candidate will work with
multiple teams of technology professionals who have a role in the creation, acquisition and
rollout of vendor product solutions and internally developed solutions. Mentor developers in
new technologies. In addition, produce an architecture that is adaptive to business and
technology changes. Evolve the technical and business models that support our enterprise;
ensure that vendors and partners are in compliance with model standards and practices; set and
maintain expectations for technical deliverables. Produce, collect, promulgate, and enforce
architecture and technical guidelines and Work with the business to determine the priorities
among product requirements (e.g. availability, scalability, and performance) and ensure that
designs and implemented systems meet these prioritized requirements. Create presentations for
business and technical personnel to explain current and future technical architectures and
their relationship to business decision making.
Candidate should have the ability to lead technical teams, the ability to work
cross-functionally and with many service providers and business partners, the ability to
negotiate acceptable tradeoffs and decisions that balance the needs of the product vision
against the needs of the technical constituencies.
Mandatory: SQL Server or other relational database; ASP, .net or other application server
environment; object oriented design and development; one or more web development tools (Visual
Studio, Visual Café); application architectures in a distributed computing environment.
Technical knowledge should include: C#, Web Development, Content management systems such as
Documentum and Vingette, Business Modeling using Use Cases; UML modeling tools
Required Background includes:
BA/BS in Technology area (i.e. Computer Science) or related field or equivalent work related
8+ years experience in software product development with progressive increases in leadership
roles/ responsibilities, 8+ years of demonstrated successful project implementation
Previous experience with overall technical responsibility for large scale projects involving
$1+ million in budget expenditures, 20-30 project team members, including internal and
Insurance, financial services and/or mortgage industry experience preferred.
Proven experience in driving effective stakeholder status, decisions, and communications.
Demonstrated track record of successful product delivery within budget, schedule, scope and
Outstanding communication (verbal and written), customer relationship and leadership skills.
Strong analytical and team-based problem solving skills. Ability to negotiate resolution of
issues and conflicts. Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
