Job Description:
Our client is a leading provider of funds transfer and other software solutions to institutions
and businesses in the US and worldwide.

Role: A “working development manger” role reporting to and working closely with the Head of
Lead a three/four person application development team working on both product maintenance and
new features. 

Key responsibilities are to:
• plan and coordinate development tasks
• participate in detailed design and coding activities
• provide technical consistency and ensure adherence to product development standards across
all development tasks
• be a key contributor into high level product design, strategy and vision.

Required Skills & Experience:
• Articulate, well presented and confident to work directly with customers when required
• Proven success coordinating development on a software product. 
• Application or System development using C on UNIX and/or Windows
• Development experience with a Relational Databases on UNIX and/or Windows.

Desired Skills:
• BS/CS preferred
• 7+ years of development experience with similar experiences
• Prior management experience preferred
• SWIFT messaging or Computer Based Terminal (CBT) exposure desired
• Application software development on a software product used in Banking or Finance
• Development experience with Windows and one or more of the following specific UNIX versions:
Solaris, HP, AIX, NCR.
• Development experience with one or more of the following specific RDBMS: Oracle, Sybase, SQL
Server, Informix. 

Other Skills:
• Exposure to non-SWIFT financial messaging standards (FIX, Fedwire, CREST etc)
• Exposure or MQ Series or other middleware
• Embedded SQL development
• TCL/TK development
• TCP-IP/Sockets development 
• UNIX shell scripts and basic system admin
• Complex scripted builds using GCC, make etc.
• Database Schema design
