Job Description:
Function:  

Responsible for a variety of duties relating to the management, administration and operation
of the Lending Departments including Real Estate Lending and Consumer Lending.  Ensures that
policies and procedures and state and federal laws and regulations are adhered to while
supervising and directing staff to departmental and company goals.    

 

Responsibilities Include:  

Ensures that real estate loan policies, procedures, services and products meet federal and
state regulations and compliance, as well as investor requirements; 
Develop, analyze and complete monthly real estate and consumer loan reports; 
Review lending loan approvals for soundness of decisions;  
Maintain knowledge of competitorís rates, terms, ect. and other trends relating to real estate
lending and consumer lending and provide input and recommendations for lending interest rates;

Define and recommend appropriate limits of authority for consumer lending personnel and ensure
adequate understanding of the Credit Unionís loan procedures and policies; 
Perform audit of loan files working with Internal Auditor to ensure quality and that lending
procedures are followed; 
Supervise, monitor and assist the collection of all loans and handle routine and non-routine
matters that arise; 
Develop new product offerings to meet the needs of the membership; 
Build on current business relationships within the membership in order to gain maximum market
penetration; 
Evaluate the job performance of subordinates to ensure quality of work and service to members;
 
Responsible for the training and education of the assigned staff to produce excellence in
member service and performance;  
Assumes other duties, responsibilities, special assignments and training as necessary or
directed.  
 

Qualifications:  

A minimum of five years managerial experience in a credit union, bank or financial institution
with an emphasis on real estate lending and consumer lending.  Proven progressive levels of
responsibility required.  College degree with concentration in business management is
preferred.
