Aquent Marketing and Creative Services (MCS) is a global professional services firm offering an
array of services that help companies increase their capacity to execute marketing initiatives
by making more effective use of people, processes, and technology. The Senior Consultant will
join a innovative team and will bring their subject matter expertise and analytical skill to
bear in providing customers with in-depth assessments of their creative services operations.
Our clients are large, marketing intensive companies with a high need for large volumes of
creative deliverables. We help them to optimize their operations and maximize their spend. The
consulting group utilizes our proprietary methodology for analyzing creative work product to
make recommendations about aligning required deliverables and delivery options (in-house,
external, production-oriented, etc.) and improving the effectiveness of those delivery
An engagement begins with a high-level baseline diagnostic– essentially a snapshot of the
client’s current operation and how it compares against best practices. We then provide
broad-based recommendations of whether specific creative deliverables should be produced
internally or externally and what categories of resources and skills are required to produce
them. Additionally, we provide process improvement recommendations, including the usage of
technology to improve efficiency. This initial diagnostic often leads to additional consulting
opportunities to take a deeper look and provide more detailed recommendations on how to
implement a best-practice operation.
The Senior Consultant’s role will evolve with the offering and therefore demands flexibility,
demonstrated leadership skills and a willingness to take on any task necessary to deliver
exceptional results to our clients. At the core of the successful candidate is a strategist
with expertise and passion for creative services, able to grasp the clients’ business goals
and the impact that efficiencies can have on those goals. Core responsibilities will include:
• Manage projects: create project timelines, prepare status reports, maintain budgets,
coordinate the input of both the consulting and client teams;
• Act as key client interface, facilitates client meetings, and maintains and deepens client
• Take the lead on all data gathering efforts;
• Develop strategies for where various types of creative work get executed;
• Build detailed job descriptions and organizational models;
• Develop detailed workflow and Standard Operating Procedures;
• Assess requirements for automated systems.
You must have experience managing both project teams and client expectations/relationships,
combined with the willingness to role up your sleeves and crunch the analysis with your team.
As a key client-facing member of the team, you must have both exceptional writing and
presentation skills. An MBA or comparable with 2-3 years experience at a known consulting firm
preferred, and a stint at a creative organization such as a web development firm or agency
As a subject matter expert, you must have experience within the Marketing and Creative
services domain, and should be prepared to detail your successes in two or more of the
• Business process reengineering and change management;
• Developing, documenting and implementing standard operating procedures;
• Implementing creative services technology;
• Developing, implementing, safeguarding brand standards.
This is a ground-floor opportunity with enormous growth potential in an established firm. Home
base can be either Aquent’s New York or Boston offices with travel to client sites nationally.
While this is a permanent, full-time position, we are also interested in hearing from those
who want to continue consulting on their own but interested in future contract assignments.
