Job Description:
Business/legal book publisher seeks editorial project manager to work with authors and manage
remote staff.  Responsibilities include research, working with authors, phone follow up, phone
interviews and managing freelancers.  The position is on a track to eventually also manage a
team of internal editorial analysts and head up a product division. Ideal characteristics
include a high level of professionalism, person with sound editorial skills,
researching/problem solving capabilities, and someone who enjoys an entrepreneurial
environment and multi-tasking. Candidate should have 1-2 years experience in publishing, and
seeking a more entrepreneurial position that provides more responsibility.  Individual must be
extremely well organized, comfortable on the phone with top business executives, and juggling
hundreds of author contacts simultaneously. 

 

Salary range of $30-$35k a year (commensurate with experience), full benefits, participation
in company retirement plan and great working environment. Normal business working hours,
position is in-office in our Back Bay offices.
