Job Description:
Telephia is seeking an Operations Analyst for a 4 month contract!


The Business Intelligence Data Architect position is responsible for the design and
implementation of the Telephia BI reporting physical and logical data models. This position
requires experience designing and implementing a multi-subject area Business Intelligence
system, in a highly dynamic environment with high levels of interaction with Business sponsors
and users. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and an outstanding
track record with respect to the quality and extensibility of BI reporting data model
deliverables. 

Responsibilities: 

This individual is responsible for taking a lead role in business intelligence (BI) and data
warehousing (DW) solutions; including but not limited to: dimensional modeling, logical and
physical data model design, database tuning/optimization, design and development of ETL
processes, reporting tool architecture design and deployment strategy. In addition, this
person will have responsibility for analyzing customer requirements as well as identifying and
implementing strategies. 

Requirements: 

- BS/MS in Computer Sciences or equivalent 
- 5-7 years of experience in BI data architecture and development of OLAP reporting models 
- Experience of logical data modeling and data warehousing concepts with respect to
dimensional modeling is essential 
- Experience with various BI reporting tools recommended data models 
- Experience with SQL Server as the data warehouse is needed 
- Experience with multi-pass SQL tuning is required 
- Experience with complex security implementations and system administration is needed 
- Able to lead/drive teams to consensus decisions on complex business and technical data
challenges 
- Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment 
- Ability to work closely with users and business sponsors 
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task across numerous work streams 
- Strong interpersonal and client facing skills 
- Excellent verbal and written skills 
- Detail oriented with excellent follow through 
- Past experience with large-scale multi-subject area MicroStrategy deployment is a strong
plus 

This position requires experience and expertise in data extraction, data modeling and database
implementation including the following skills: 
- Dimensional Warehouse Modeling; 
- Enterprise Data Management; 
- Data Cube development; 
- RDBMS experience minimum of: SQL Server or Teradata.
