We are seeking an experienced, technical engineering manager to lead the Cambridge EdgeControl
team. An ideal candidate will have database and web application programming experience,
demonstrated organizational and problem solving skills, web content management experience,
excellent teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to guide the design and
development of intuitive, usable customer interfaces.
This team manages full lifecycle development of a multi-tier web application, from
requirements analysis and system level design through implementation, deployment and ongoing
support. The engineering manager must understand web application development in Java and Perl
using Oracle and other database technologies.
Responsibilities for this position include:
Work with engineering leadership to plan and manage change to applications and communicate
enhancements to the engineering and business teams.
Prioritize projects on the engineering roadmap in coordination with other managers. Guide the
design and implementation of new customer-oriented applications and manage change to existing
Ensure all applications meet or exceed a production level quality prior to release by managing
the full lifecycle of each project including unit testing and documentation.

M.Sc. in Computer Science or related field with at least five years of experience in software
development and engineering management or B.Sc. with seven years relevant experience.
Working knowledge of Perl, Java/J2EE, and database applications. Experience with web
application development and web content management systems.
Familiarity with web analytics and web-based reporting applications a must; familiarity with
newer web application technologies (Spring, AJAX) a plus.
At least one year experience managing an engineering team with a proven track record of
managing and delivering complex projects successfully and on time.
