Description: Perform a variety of duties related to the inspection and disposition of
vendor-supplied materials and contract manufacturing devices
1) Verify conformance of received material to the C&D Technologies (Datel) specification.
This includes, but is not limited to, mechanical inspection using verniers, micrometers, height
gauge, etc…solderability testing, resistance to solvents, electrical test and visual
examinations using eye loops, ring magnifiers and microscopes.
2) Maintenance of all necessary reports, files and records.
3) Computer transactions for all jobs inspected.
Incoming inspection: secondary duty: work is organized by date on the incoming
inspection report. The person in this position must be able to work independently by choosing
work from the list, locating and moving the material to the work area.
This includes some lifting (no more than 50lbs.) use of a wagon or hand truck.
Must be able to clearly communicate questions, concerns or rejection reasons to immediate
supervisor. In certain instances inspectors are called upon to explain their findings to the
material dept., engineering or manufacturing.
Must be able to handle priorities on a daily basis and should be comfortable in the position
to answer questions by either internal or external auditors.
Comprehension of Military Specs, IPC and EIA standards are necessary. Neatness, accuracy and
attentive to details are a must.
Experience: 3-5 years in a quality related field is required.
Education: High School Graduate
