Job Description:
Will be responsible for overseeing the management, organization, budget planning and
supervision of a large scale security force. Assist with the recruiting, interviewing and
selection of physical security staff and officers. Review and approve security officer manuals
and post instructions. Responsible for safeguarding physical plant, property and personnel at
all local and field sites. Conduct special investigations, vulnerability studies and oversee
investigations of thefts and misappropriation of materials. Assist in developing strategy for
the participating in labor negotiations and resolving grievances. Prepare and implement
emergency action plans for natural and man-made disasters and review and update as necessary
special plans for snow emergencies. Establish the necessary command and control capabilities
and coordinate required external support with Hansom AFB officials and state and local
agencies. Establish and enforce parking and traffic regulations and manage planning and
execution of special events. Will serve at the Security Office representative to the Safety
Committee. Position may require local and some overnight travel. Will be subject to a security
investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Bachelor degree (Master degree highly desired) in Criminal Justice, Business Administration,
Industrial Security, or related field. A minimum of 8 years of prior experience managing a
large-scale physical security program. CPP preferred. Advanced computer software skills
including proficiency in Power Point, Excel, Word, Access and SAP are required. Must have
demonstrated ability to follow-up and solve problems. Candidate must be a reliable self-
starter who works independently under minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal, written
and verbal communication, organizational, and customer service skills required. CPR/AED and
first aid certifications or the ability to successfully complete and obtain certifications is
strongly desired
