About the Job

As a Business Development Manager, you will be primarily responsible for growing distribution
in on-premise and off-premise channels through new account acquisition and effective
distributor management.  In addition to working with distributor personnel, you will further
be responsible for developing your own personal key account base within the geographical area.
 You will also be expected to schedule, coordinate and manage promotional events and product
tastings (flexible evenings and some weekends a must).

 

Requirements:

·         Grow sales through aggressive solicitation of target accounts

·         Work with and through distributor sales personnel to expand distribution and develop
new sales opportunities

·         Drive sales by meeting with key accounts, educating buyers and conducting consumer
product tasting events

·         Conduct regular meetings, business reviews and training with distributor personnel
to ensure proper execution of brand marketing strategies and distributor performance toward
meeting sales objectives

·         Develop and maintain positive business relationships with key accounts in the
territory

·         Monitor, anticipate, report on and respond to competitive activity

 

Experience / Skill Set / Ideal Profile:

3-4 years liquor sales and/or bar management experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with distributors,
retailers and on-premise accounts
Solid organization skills, capable of meeting multiple deadlines while juggling
responsibilities
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Good overall product and industry knowledge including liquor channel
Ability to work independently
Team player, highly energetic, strong initiative, professional and articulate with the ability
to influence others at all levels
Drive to constantly improve personal performance
A passion for great customer service and an appreciation for the alternate choices our
customers always have
 

 

Compensation

This position offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, 20% incentive
bonus package, car allowance and excellent benefits including health, dental benefits, 401k
and vacation.
