Our client, one of the web's top research sites, is looking for an experienced designer to join
their Content/Production department.
•Expert knowledge of CSS and HTML—you must be able to code by hand without a WYSIWYG editor
•Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Visio, PowerPoint and PageMaker or
•3-5 years' experience as a designer at a major website
•Strong communication skills
•Ability to juggle multiple projects and consistently beat or meet deadlines
•Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively
•Knowledge of XSL is not required, but is a major plus
•Experience working within the CVS source-control system is not expected, but would also be a
You will be responsible for creating design solutions for online and, occasionally, print
content and promotional materials according to specifications from the Content/Production,
Marketing and Sales teams. You'll work on new site features and UI changes at several stages
in their production, so you must be equally comfortable doing wireframes or Photoshop mockups
as with doing finished HTML designs. This is an individual contributor role, not a management
position. You must be eager to work as part of a team as well as capable of working
independently. Also, we are looking for someone who will be comfortable working within
existing style and branding guidelines.
