Director Test Plan module.
Build test data and understand concepts of a relational database.
Coordinate multiple testing efforts and execute Object Oriented tests utilizing Mercury Test
Director Test Lab module.
Identify, document, and track defects through re-test using Mercury’s Test Director Defect
Write complex queries for database testing and verification in TOAD.
Perform backend testing and verification using Webshere MQ, XML, LDAP, and Abinitio ETL
Perform testing in both J2EE and Unix/Cobol platforms.
Types of testing to perform: Blackbox (System Testing), Unit test, Whitebox Testing (code
path/branches), Backend, Regression, Smoke/Sanity, Automated, Manual, End to End, User
Acceptance, Performance, Stress, Integration, Usability, Ad-hoc.
Demonstrate ability to clearly document basic logical requirements using UML Diagrams or Use
Perform Business User walk-thru.
Document and verify test results and create detailed status reports.
Develop detailed defect testing reports and track all issues to closure.
Review test documents written by other test engineers.
Ensure all documentation and software is ready for release.
Create and update Quality Knowledge Base.
Plan, produce and maintain automated tests using Quick Test Professional.
Develop and enhance test scripts using VBScript.
Conduct web and stress testing using Loadrunner and Mercury Quick Test Professional.
Plan, produce and maintain automated load tests using Loadrunner.
Help develop and maintain an automation process to ensure reuse, traceability and consistent
· Education/development. This position is a technical function and there should be
evidence of project coordination, business, and software-intensive product
o Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or relevant field combined with
training in quality assurance principles and practices.

o 5 years practical experience in software intensive product specification and testing
o 2 plus years leading quality assurance and/or testing activities

o Worked in a geographically separated, diverse technical work groups, including
cross-site teams and employee/contractor mixes.
o Contribute to the mentoring of team members; giving a continuous learning
