Vaco Technology has an immediate opening for a NETWORK MANAGER in Nashville, TN. Ideal
candidates should meet the following requirements before applying:
**Perform day to day management, updates, maintenance and troubleshooting of LAN
Infrastructure. Includes the management of remote routers, sites, links, DSL, Frame, subnets,
etc. The Network Manager is responsible for designing the network and taking care of high
level architecture issues.
**Perform day to day management, updates, maintenance and troubleshooting of the company s

**The Network Manager will be required to have working knowledge of network technologies, such
as routing, switching, security, firewalls, proxies, IDS, ACS, load balancing, NAT, etc.
**The Network Manager will also be responsible in assisting the helpdesk, technicians, and all
other users in troubleshooting network problems as required.
**Responsible for any other tasks deemed necessary to maintain a reliable infrastructure for
the field and corporate users.
**Research and implement new technologies to enhance the network infrastructure.
**Working knowledge of PBX systems, telephone systems, voice-mail systems, and VoIP
**Negotiate telecomm contracts and services. Deal with telecomm vendors and suppliers.
**Experience in interaction with vendors, contract review, contract renewals, and
consolidation of services
Certified as a MCSE (Windows NT or Windows 2000) preferred
3 years experience with Windows 2000 preferred
10 years experience in networking required
Experience with web server load balancing, IDS, firewalls, Cisco PIX and routers, frame relay,
DSL, and ATM required
Certified on Foundry Switch Equipment required
Knowledge of telecomm and phone systems required
