Here is a specific description of the work we need:
The individual(s) should be able to work with little engineering direction, be a self starter
and can follow schematics and engineering drawings. The individual should be familiar with
installation and termination of jet engine instrumentation sensors including but not limited
to strain gauges, thermocouples, accelerometers and pressure sensors. The individual should be
familiar with installation of these sensors, terminating to electrical connectors, and routing
of cables and hypo tubes through small access areas.
The individual needs to work with microscopic sensors, with an emphasis on strain gauge
application. The individual should be able to install these sensors for ambient, hot or cold
environmental conditions. The individual needs to be flexible as far as being able to work any
shift and weekend work if needed to complete tasks.
As a bonus, if this individual can modify sensor drawings and schematics, that would be a
plus. In addition, if this individual has any familiarity with data acquisition/recording
systems, that would also be a benefit.
