The Manufacturing Quality Engineering Section Manager assists the site Quality Manager in
leading, coordinating and directing in-process quality engineering programs and systems
designed to ensure manufacturing of products consistent with established standards by
performing the duties as follows. Ensure the integrity of manufacturing process controls.
Identify and eliminate sources of variation on the wafer manufacturing process. Propose
process improvement opportunities based on continued analysis and monitoring of process
control indicators. Investigate customer complaints associated with product quality and
coordinates the development of root cause analyses via 8D programs and the development of
corrective actions. Prepare for and perform internal quality audits, generate audits, generate
audit reports, corrective actions, verify integrity of root cause analysis and effectives of
corrective actions. Manage and/or populate different quality databases (i.e. FMEA, CAR,
Internal Audit, CCB, etc.) Facilitate the development of action plans to maintain/extend the
quality management system certification.
Must have a strong understanding of process concepts, team-oriented production environment,
DOE, FMEA, 8D and other analytical problem solving/continuous improvement tools. Must possess
strong interpersonal skills and ability to build cross-functional teams and manage complex
multi-tasked activities. Experience with ISO 9001 and experience with ISO/TS 16949 also
desired. BSEE, BSCE or related Science/Engineering discipline. ASQ certified Quality Engineer
and 3-5 years of experience in GaAs/Silicon wafer Fab environment preferred.
