Morrill Insurance Agency, LLC, A Member Agency of the Morrill Group, is a regional property &
casualty insurance agency and a recognized leader in writing accounts up to the mid-market
level. The agency’s appetite includes a broad spectrum of industries including those that are
highly property, general liability, workers’ compensation directors and officers or
professional liability driven. Between five offices, there are 30 dedicated employees located
in offices that represent the majority of insurance companies concentrating on writing
commercial insurance. As a result of significant growth, our Norwood office is searching for
the right candidate to round out our commercial department. The office is located one block
from the downtown area and occupies first-class office space which has been recently expanded
to accommodate our growing staff. The location is ideal being only three blocks from the local



The Account Manager position provides an exciting opportunity for an energetic, appropriately
skilled individual who will assure that the clients needs are satisfied according to the
complexity of their account and the amount of service they desire. The ideal candidate will
take full ownership for the quality of service provided to accounts and always maintain and
foster positive relationships. Advanced product knowledge is essential and appropriate
Designations are certainly a plus. A minimum of 2 years of experience successfully performing
the tasks of an account manager is required.    




The successful applicant will be responsible for making coverage recommendations whenever
possible, maintaining a positive attitude at all times, working as a team member in a
collaborative effort willing step in and see a project through to completion should a
colleague require assistance. The position demands day to day contact with a set of assigned
accounts with contact derived from phone calls, e-mail and personal  in-office meetings.
Further essential activity would involve binder and certificate processing, familiarity with
registry procedures, the processing of claims from first report to closure, tracking of
cancellations, monitoring expiration lists in advance of renewal and working with the two
producers to guarantee that new business is issued timely and correctly. Market client
renewals and new business with selected carriers while answering in-depth underwriting
questions, negotiating prices and reviewing quotations for accuracy and competitiveness. The
responsibilities are not limited to the functions listed above and may change from time to
time within the parameters of an account manager position. 


Required Skills:


Must possess excellent customer service skills/abilities. Assignments require cognitive
recognition of the steps necessary to see projects through to fruition.  This involves the
ability to solve practical problems and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Proficiency with Applied Systems and/or AMS is
fundamental to this position.  Knowledge of PC office software such as Word, Excel, Power
Point and Outlook is desirable.
