Electrical Systems Engineer for the design and development of analog and digital hardware
Work with a team of engineers and technicians conducting analog and digital hardware design
Establishes the architecture for electomechanical systems, determining both mechanical and
electrical component features.
Performs architecture trade-off analyses on both line replaceable units and distributed
Leads system architecture design decisions in areas of redundancy management and control
system approaches considering product failure modes and performance goals.
Allocates system reliability requirements and tracks compliance.
Performs systems engineering tasks including customer specification review, technical
requirements development, requirements allocation to system components, system performance
prediction, requirements tracking, and reviews verification and validation testing plans.
Coordinates electrical system designs for new aircraft production and retrofit applications.
Supports Program Management, Certification, Marketing and other departments to coordinate
Requires Bachelors degree in Electrical, Control or Systems Engineering and at least 5 years
experience in electronic and electromechanical based new product development and
MatLab/Simulink based control system analysis.
Experience with trapezoidal or field oriented electronic controls for permanent magnet
brushless motors is preferred.
Strong communication, presentation, and technical writing skills are necessary along with an
understanding of airline regulatory guidelines, design requirements for aircraft wiring and
knowledge of avionic component parts utilized in the design and manufacture of cable
Position requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
